Senior Director Project Management

As Senior Director Project Management, you will provide leadership and governance to the Glytec Project Management Office (PMO), with responsibility for coordinating the cross-functional tasks, activities and communications required for successful implementation of Glytec’s solutions at hospitals and health systems nationwide. We are improving the lives of people with diabetes across the healthcare continuum! The Senior Director Project Management reports to the Vice President Delivery and Services and collaborates with multiple departments, team members and team leaders throughout the company. This position also has several direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision to project managers and Director of Clinical Implementations; provide strategic direction and oversight to cross functional project teams; and assume role of project manager for select implementations.
  • Facilitate project resourcing in collaboration with multiple other departmental teams, including Clinical Services, Data and Integration, Quality Initiatives, Information Technology, and more.
  • Define and implement project management methodologies and deliverables; also, risk management controls and escalation pathways.
  • Formulate resource assignment recommendations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and maximal client satisfaction, taking into account resource capacity, individual subject matter expertise and skill sets as well as client- and solution-specific considerations and variables.
  • Uphold compliance with established project management methodologies and deliverables as well as standard operating procedures and documentation requirements. Take corrective action as needed.
  • Spearhead innovation and continuous quality improvement initiatives to drive optimal project execution and change management processes.
  • Adapt and refine strategies, methodologies and deliverables to meet evolving product/solution offerings and client needs.
  • Formulate, monitor and report on PMO OKRs (objectives and key results).
  • Develop and maintain analytics tools, dashboards and internal communications to monitor and measure delivery efficacy, resource allocation and capacity. Identify gaps and constraints and devise recommendations for remediation. Work with Vice President Delivery and Services to leverage data for cost accounting and pricing models as well as proactive resource planning, budget preparation and process improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for clients, team members and company leadership.
  • Serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource for project-related issue resolution.
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory Affairs team to ensure appropriate PMO staff development and training; also, compliance with department-specific quality policies, processes, SOPs and work instructions. Support Quality and Regulatory Affairs team during FDA, ISO and other audits, participating in problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action for quality failures.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Three or more years' professional work experience in clinical health IT client service organization.
  • Five or more years' professional work experience with enterprise-level IT solution implementations involving cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Two or more years' professional work experience in management-level position with direct reports.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial outlook with strong collaboration skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard project management tools, Visio, salesforce and Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Exceptional client-facing interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to cultivate rapport and facilitate communication with project leaders and c-suite executives.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, time management and organizational skills, with significant attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver impactful onsite and web presentations to variety of internal and external constituents, including clients, partners and employees at all levels.

PREFERRED

  • Master's degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Previous or current employment with a healthcare provider organization.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in Waltham, Massachusetts or Greenville, South Carolina office.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25%.
  • Some work on nights and weekends may be required to achieve goals of department and company.
  • Must be able to manage responsibilities within distributed, matrix organization (many fellow employees and direct reports work remotely or in a different office location).
