Ed Furlong

Ed Furlong serves as Glytec’s President & CEO. His experience in operations and financial management spans more than 30 years. Prior to joining Glytec, Ed served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Kyruus, a leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for hospitals and health systems, where he was instrumental in shaping the business model, building the organization and increasing revenues elevenfold. Ed previously served in a similar capacity at Exa Corporation, maker of engineering simulation and visualization software, where he directed the company’s IPO, raised private equity and mezzanine debt financing, and achieved consistent growth and profitability. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior executive in the investment services industry for both Fidelity Strategic Investments and UAM Investment Services, where he spearheaded a wide range of start-ups and turnarounds, and participated on several corporate boards. Ed holds a bachelor of science in economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.

John Beneke

Chief Financial Officer

John Beneke serves as Glytec's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Glytec in 2012, John was the Chief Financial Officer for M.M. Dillon & Co., a boutique investment bank in Greenwich, CT. Prior to that, John spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley & Co. He was a Managing Director in the Finance Division supporting the Institutional Securities Business. John has held multiple senior operating roles, with experience in Institutional Equity, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Derivatives, and Investment Banking. He has also served a 2 year tour of duty as Head of Investor Relations. John is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds an M.B.A. degree from Rutgers University and a B.A. from Dickinson College.

Robby Booth

SVP Research & Development

Robby Booth serves as Glytec’s Senior Vice President of Research and Development, facilitating the company’s innovation programs, patent inventions and FDA clearances as well as multiple partnerships with vendors of complementary technologies. He has 20 years of experience in developing and commercializing disruptive solutions. Robby is one of Glytec’s founders and has been instrumental in advancing the company’s solutions for diabetes therapy management, including new models, algorithms and software-as-a-medical-device products for personalized digital therapeutics. He is an inventor of more than two dozen issued and allowed U.S. and international patents. Prior to joining Glytec, Robby was Vice President of Product Development at CoMed, where he was integral in building and managing design controls and overseeing activities to ensure compliance with medical device regulations.

Raymie McFarland

VP Quality Initiatives

Raymie McFarland serves as Glytec's Vice President of Quality Initiatives. He has directed or otherwise participated in more than 65 studies involving use of the company's eGlycemic Management System, all of which have been published in medical journals and/or presented at scientific conferences. Raymie has more than 20 years of experience articulating the benefits of innovative, quality-oriented tools, technologies and processes to clinicians, administrators and senior executives at healthcare organizations throughout the country. Prior to joining Glytec, Raymie was President of Mantra Healthcare Solutions, a consultancy he co-founded. Earlier in his career, Raymie worked for many years at Sanofi, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, where he was instrumental in developing multiple programs aimed at improving the care of patients with diabetes, including industry-recognized quality improvement processes for inpatient glycemic management and transitions of care. While at Sanofi, Raymie received several national quality awards for inpatient programming, leadership and medical projects. Raymie has certifications from Society of Hospital Medicine, CMS Readmissions Programming, and Telehealth Remote Monitoring as well as Quality Lean Processing, Six Sigma, and Quality Institute.

John Downey

Chief Revenue Officer

John Downey serves as Glytec’s Chief Revenue Officer. His career of more than 25 years has centered around sales and account management for healthcare technology solutions. Prior to joining Glytec, John was Chief Revenue Officer for Censinet, driving growth for the startup’s third-party vendor risk management platform. He previously held the position of Senior VP Sales and Account Management for Kyruus, leading the charge to accelerate market adoption of the company’s patient access and provider data management products. Earlier in his career, John spent 15 years at McKesson Health Solutions, where in his last role as Area Vice President of Sales for Decision Management, he contributed to a 30-fold increase in revenue -- from $10M to more than $300M. John holds a bachelor of arts in communications from Marist College and a master of arts in English from State University of New York, The College of New Paltz.
