Clinical Services

Clinical Practice Consultant

Remote (Work from Home)

The Clinical Practice Consultant will be a subject matter expert on current best practice for a standardized approach to insulin management across the continuum of care. Primary engagement will be focused on clinical practice change for clients deploying and optimizing use of the Glytec eGlycemic Management System. Additional roles for this position will include, but are not limited to, publishing clinical results, development of educational programs and participation in client meetings pre- and post-sale.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Development and Support

  • Lead clinical assessments for new clients to establish a baseline of current policies, protocols, procedures, and order sets for diabetes care and their understanding by key stakeholders at the client level. Prepare written reports of findings and submit to VP of Clinical Practice and VP of Delivery and Services.
  • Serve as onsite consultant during go live to assist providers and pharmacists transitioning patients to Glucommander (FDA-cleared insulin dosing decision support module of the Glytec eGlycemic Management System).
  • Design, deliver and maintain education programs for Glytec clients.
  • Collaborate with members of the clinical team and account management to analyze trends of adoption, results, and increase utilization of the eGMS across key clients.
  • Provide training to new users of GlucoMetrics (analytics and reporting module of the Glytec eGlycemic Management System).
  • Participate in Glycemic Management Committees for selected clients.
  • Design a culture of openness and teamwork for each client.

Clinical Support

  • Participate in clinical team meetings as needed to bring key information and feedback from the field.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team on research and publications.
  • Serve as key subject expert to inform go live and optimization strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 client clinical support.

Management Meetings

  • Participate in project steering committees as invited and appropriate.
  • Participate in client advisory meetings and Glytec Scientific Advisory Board meetings.
  • Serve as member of multidisciplinary Glytec Clinical Review Committee supporting the ongoing review and prioritization of new and enhanced product features.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program; doctoral preparation preferred.
  • Licensed NP; additional certification as BC-ADM or CDE preferred.
  • 7 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner.
  • 3 years of clinical leadership experience managing and leading complex clinical practices using a collaborative approach.
  • General medical knowledge with specific and detailed knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacologic treatment of diabetes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and manage fast-paced environment at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and develop unique client solutions based on strong understanding of client business case (goals and challenges).
  • Experience in organizing, structuring and supporting independent scientific advisory boards in support of strategic company efforts.
  • Proficiency in the application of technology to improve glycemic management outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good business ethics and common sense skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a remote office.

Working Conditions:

  • Work remotely from home office environment.
  • 75% travel required; must have the ability to travel during the week and weekends.
  • Position is not a customary 40-hour work week; extended work hours are needed during evenings and weekends to achieve goals of the service organization and Glytec.
  • Must be able to manage responsibilities within a distributed, matrix organization; this role services clients as well as internal colleagues.

Senior Web Developer

Waltham, MA

You have a passion for building web-based applications that delight users. You care as much about providing a quality user experience (UX) as the quality of your code. You understand the distinction between and care deeply about user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). You have proven experience building robust SaaS products delivered to a variety of browsers and device. Position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be a member of an Agile software product development team.
  • Design and implement modern web interfaces using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical Solution Consultant

The primary role of the Clinical Solution Consultant is to become an entrusted subject matter expert who supports Glytec’s Sales and Quality organizations. The candidate will have significant interaction with existing and prospective clients (hospitals and health systems) throughout the U.S. He or she will facilitate software demonstrations/presentations of Glytec’s eGlycemic Management System (onsite and remote/webconference), and will also help plan and administer research studies undertaken by various healthcare provider organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales team to define opportunities and priorities for each solution presentation.
  • Develop and maintain software demonstration scripts that position the solution's clinical superiority, interoperability and value for unmatched success.
  • Contribute to best practice library as new or enhanced workflows are learned, designed and demonstrated.
  • Gather competitive, market and client-specific intelligence whenever possible, and communicate appropriately to internal parties.
  • Serve as member of Clinical Review Committee to ensure feedback from existing and prospective clients is examined and prioritized for new and enhanced product features and functions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Quality and Marketing teams in positioning and messaging of presentations and associated materials.
  • Cultivate rapport with existing and prospective clients before, during and after demonstrations.
  • Apply technology updates to software demonstrations whenever approved and feasible.
  • Continually update software demonstration environments with new product and integration releases.
  • Support Quality team in analysis of trends, results and opportunities for client outcome improvements.

  • Experience as a subject matter expert (clinical and/or product).

  • Experience with analytics preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with EMR/EHR, charting, lab, ADT and other systems common to hospitals and health systems.
  • Knowledge of diabetes and glycemic management is preferred.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 50%.

Clinical Services

Clinical Services Coordinator (Diabetes RN, RD, CDE)

Remote (Work from Home)

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, this role is responsible for the clinical coordination of implementation services to Glytec clients. Collaborates with the Clinical Executive Sponsor beginning with the clinical assessment and continuing through the planning and implementation process to ensure an optimal clinical go live for our clients. Coordinates activities internally and externally to ensure an effective and on-time clinical launch of Glytec products. Functions as the clinical liaison and Glytec subject matter expert during implementation. Follows a standard project plan customized to the scope of work agreed to with the client. Works in collaboration with Glytec Project Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of insulin order sets to support clinical practice change.
  • Execution and verification of clinical configuration of Glytec products.
  • Execution of downtime strategy.
  • Develop and implement education collateral and conduct train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Perform clinical validation of interfaces.
  • Serve as the onsite lead for go-live events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • RN or RD license required.
  • Inpatient diabetes care experience preferred.
  • CDE or BC-ADM preferred.
  • EMR experience preferred.
  • 50% travel required.
